Dr. Les Mack

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Les Mack grew up in California, where he was born with a natural love for animals. A graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, he has practiced in the York & Harrisburg areas for 16 years.

Dr. Les Mack founded Spring Grove Animal Hospital in 2010 and now lives in Dover with his wife, Kathy.  He has several dogs and cats: Loki, Sasha, Ollie and Squish, as well as 9 horses.  When not in the hospital caring for patients, you will find him on his farm with his horses.

Susan Koncewicz

Certified Veterinary Technician

Susan has been one of our technicians since 2013.  She became a certified veterinary technician in 2015.  Her passion is animal behavior, and she enjoys working with aggressive dogs in particular. She lives with her husband, Joe, a cat named Kovu, and two dogs, Gem and Sadie.  In her spare time, she likes to binge- watch Netflix and participate in agility classes with Sadie.

Larissa Kokiko

Veterinary Technician

Larissa has been a technician at Spring Grove Animal Hospital since 2015, after graduating from YTI’s Veterinary Technician program.

She lives with her husband, John, and her pets: a Yorkie named Lily, a greyhound named Angel, and her cat Lucy.

Heather Billman

Office Manager

Heather is our manager and has been working at the clinic since 2016.  She and Dr. Mack worked together previously at another practice in York, PA.  She is a graduate of Harcum College in Philadelphia, PA, with a degree in Animal Center Management, where she did an internship with the Philadelphia Zoo.

Heather and her husband, Mike, live in York with their two children, Ty and Ava, and a menagerie of pets.  They have Ella, an Irish Wolfhound, three goldfish, a Siamese cat named Sheldon, a Maine Coon cat, Zombie, and a domestic short hair cat named Jimmy.

In her spare time, Heather  spends time with her family, including attending many school sporting events in Lacrosse, Football, Cheerleading, and Gymnastics.

Julie Wagner

Veterinary Technician

Julie is our newest staff member, starting with this practice at the beginning of March 2017.

Julie is a 13-year-veteran in the field, but originally went to York College where she received her B.A. in English.  Besides the actual patients, Julie enjoys the technical aspect of the job such as drawing blood, placing IV catheters, and running lab work.

Julie lives in York with her husband and their two children.  She has a mixed breed dog named Gus.
